About
This blog was started, inspired and based upon the book written by Phil Town, Rule #1: The Simple Strategy for Successful Investing in Only 15 Minutes a Week!.
A little background. I ordered the book when making an order with a gift certificate that I received after playing some online poker. I use to play online poker almost everyday if not everyday. It was a fun little past time and I’ve made some money… Definitely enough money to take a couple of nice trips to Vegas. Back to the gift certificate. I received the gift certificate for signing up for poker rooms through PokerSavvy and PokerSourceOnline. These two sites are great places as they allow you to collect the bonus from playing at specific poker rooms and collecting an extra bonus for signing up through these site.
Enough about poker.
So, I ordered the book because I’ve always been interested in learning how to invest. A picture of the book came up on the front page of Amazon. I clicked on it just to see what it was all about and spent the $15 to get the book. Upon reading the book I was instantly inspired with my new found knowledge. I do realize that the book was written in an “inspirational speaker” manner. However, upon reading the book twice I think that this is my chance to try and learn about the stock market and buying good companies. The whole premise of the book is that you can simply take $1,000 and turn it into 1 million dollars trading in this manner. I realize that this is a pipe dream (or might be possible in the long LONG run) but I’m starting trading with only the money I can lose.
So, I’ve withdrawn most of my money that I’ve made on the internet (playing online poker and creating websites). I’ve placed it in an online broker and am ready to start applying Rule #1. Again, I’m starting with $1,000 and am trading online with TradeFreedom.
The goal of this blog is to document my progress using the Rule #1 approach. I’m planning to discuss everything from my trains of thoughts, my watch list and my current trades for good or bad. I appreciate any comments or criticism that you have on my trades.

Looks like you haven’t updated the website for awhile.
I just finished the book and would like to get started on investing.
It would be very helpful if you could share some of your recent experience/ activities on the stock market.
